Here at The Watermark Hotel, we’re proud to offer a very special brand of luxury hospitality in vibrant Tysons, Virginia. And that luxury hospitality—which, accommodations-wise, takes the form of upscale residential suites—extends beyond our human guests to those of the furry, four-legged, tail-wagging variety.
That’s right: The Watermark is a pet-friendly hotel, welcoming pooches and their best buddies to the Tysons Corner Capital One Center in the heart of the D.C. Metro Area/Northern Virginia area.
Let’s kick things off by spelling out the nuts and bolts of our Watermark Hotel pet policy and services. We welcome dogs, but only up to a certain size: 50 pounds is our cutoff. (Not that we don’t love those bigger breeds!) We charge a non-refundable $125 fee per pet.
To make sure our canine guests feel as across-the-board cherished as our human ones, we stock a variety of pet-oriented amenities available to you, including doggie beds, doggie toys, and—this is especially important—treats!
When it comes to places to go and things to do with your always-eager companion(s), you’ll find yourself very strategically positioned when you avail yourself of the luxury all-suite Tysons Corners, VA hospitality here at The Watermark Hotel.
There’s a whole nexus of dog parks, for example, within easy reach, none of them easier to reach than the Sky Bark Dog Park at the Capital One Center’s rooftop “village green”: The Perch.
Besides all of The Perch’s other great amenities and attractions—including the Starr Hill Biergarten, The Perch Amphitheatre, a sculpture garden, games plaza (bocce ball, mini-golf), and Grand Lawn—this 2.5-acre “park in the sky” maintains an inviting and attractive playground for doggos courtesy of the gated, fenced-off Sky Bark’s artificial turf.
As your pooch plays to his or her heart’s content, you’ll enjoy The Perch’s thrilling rooftop views over the cityscape, and this elevated greenspace’s fabulous all-around atmosphere.
With a pet-friendly suite at The Watermark Hotel, you’re ridiculously convenient to The Perch and its Sky Bark funzone: You and your tongue-lolling bud need only stroll down through the hotel lobby from your suite and out the door for a quick and easy commute, given we’re directly connected to the Capital One Center’s lively rooftop park.
Sky Bark is obviously the first choice when it comes to a nearby dog park to your Watermark Hotel upscale residential suite, but it’s far from the only option. Your pup will surely love doing some dog-park-hopping on your fun-filled Tysons, VA getaway!
For example, just a hop, skip, and a jump away you’ll find the Mile Dog Park, less than a mile (as it happens) from our hotel near the intersection of Westbranch Drive and Westpark Drive. This fenced-in gravel space includes benches, trash cans, and doggie bags, and there’s a playground close by in case you’ve got kids along as well.
A short drive away, meanwhile, awaits Vienna Dog Park (700 Courthouse Rd SW, Vienna, VA), which offers a tree-shaded 90-by-150-foot off-leash canine paradise complete with benches, water fountains (for dogs and people), agility equipment, and a wood-chip surface. Leash up, and you’ll be able to stroll directly from the Vienna Dog Park to the enjoyable walking paths of Nottoway Park.

And meanwhile any Fairfax County park is open to dogs so long as they’re leashed, which starts putting you into sky’s-the-limit territory for doggie day-tripping out of your Watermark Hotel accommodations!
Staying at The Watermark Hotel puts some of America’s foremost tourist attractions and experiences at your fingertips, and many can be enjoyed with your best furry friend. That includes wandering the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and appreciating (from the outside) the adjoining iconic monuments.
And the National Capital Region also includes a surprisingly rich assortment of natural attractions, not least the Great Falls Park along the mighty cascades of the Potomac River and the Mather Gorge. That National Park Service-managed park welcomes dogs on a six-foot leash on all of its 15-odd miles of hiking trails, including the Ridge Trail, Old Carriage Road, Mine Run Trail, and River Trail, as well as at its falls overlooks and picnic grounds.
We’re sure Fido’s going to love his or her accommodations here at The Watermark Hotel, enhanced by those aforementioned just-for-pups perks such as our dog beds and toys.
And meanwhile, of course, you’ll be savoring some of the best all-suite hospitality in Northern Virginia, with easy access not only to The Perch but also Capital Once Center’s Capital One Hall and offices, plus McLean Station along the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s Silver Line.
